-
- Neither do I and I guess that is the problem. Dr. Kittel is right that
- there is a good effort underfoot. What I guess would alleviate many
- concerns and everyone's part would be to know the role that AT would like
- to see for Java. How would AT use Java to competitive advantage after it
- is ported? And what contributions (if you can make any) will you do to
- the effort?
-
- The one area I see the Amiga shining is that as AT you can talk the gane
- of the thin client, but really offer a "real" computer - namely you can
- have a hard drive and all of the other stuff these network computers
- ignore. But you need something like Java to help make that argument
- stick. And for these people that think Java is not needed because of
- Arexx don't simply understand the issue. You would use Arexx on the
- server end to perform some tasks, while Java would be sent to the client
- from the server to perform others. They are complementary.
-
- I would also like to learn more about server-oriented database and web
- server efforts on going at either AT or your development partners.

-
- And I believe the best approach in the UNIX area is to leave it alone...
- Most people don't buy an Amiga to run UNIX, although they may want that
- option. But, BTW does Amiga UNIX work on the A4000/040? Anyone know?

- If his statement were true, I imagine you wouldn't be posting your
